DEVELOPING GP CONSORTIA

by Laura Kidd last modified 2011-04-13 16:33

The map shows the number and names of emerging consortia for each PCT area and how many have been named as pathfinders by the Department of Health.

The map also shows details of commissioning development. This is based on information provided to HSJ by PCTs on their current situation and plans during February and March.

Those PCTs without any pathfinders are: Barnsley, Blackburn with Darwen, Brighton and Hove City, Bury, Greenwich, Hull, Medway, North Lincolnshire, North Staffordshire, Peterborough, South Tyneside, Stockton-on-Tees, Stoke-on-Trent, Sunderland and Wolverhampton City.

Reasons for having no pathfinder include lack of development, PCTs and GPs disagreeing on arrangements, and GPs choosing not to apply.
